Why Should I Join?

FACT:
To keep abreast of the ever changing circumstances
concerning your pension and retirement benefts by
means of legislation, court decisions and municipal
actions.

FACT:
The New York Police and Fire Retiree Association
holds monthly meetings at the Homefield House, 911
Saw Mill River Road, Yonkers, NY on the first Monday
of each month at 7:30 p.m., except for January, February,
March, July, August & September.

FACT:
Members of the New York Police and Fire Retiree
Association Executive Board meet in Albany on a
monthly basis with other retiree associations throughout
New York State, comprising the Alliance of Public
Retiree Organizations of New York. This Alliance
represents approximately 350,000 retirees.

FACT:
You may bring to us your knowledge and background in
union matters, legislative work, retiree issues, pension
matters and any other numerous areas that can impact
on our membership.

FACT:
As our membership grows so does our impact and influence
with the New York State Legislators, Governor,
New York State Comptroller and other retiree and active
member organizations in New York State.

What Are The Benefits of Joining?

  • You will receive a quarterly newsletter,
    which will keep you updated on legislation,
    court decisions, activities and information
    relevant to our membership.
     
  • Enrollment in a rental car discount within the
    tri-state area through Enterprise Rent A Car.

    Making new friendships and meet with
    other retirees from the same pension system.
